Today at 9 am I am going to do a handle shaping demo on Facebook. I am sorry for the short notice on this. We are experimenting with the live video feeds. I did a short one on instagram yesterday, and apart from making me nervous as hell, I thought it went well. Please join us if you are able.

Thanks.

It will be done on the Fiddleback Forge page.

Don't be nervous Andy, you'll only have about 100,000 people watching you work once we get the word out. Dibs on the dud! :D

Nice job Andy. Thanks for putting this on. I always like seeing the evolution of your knives.

Way to go Andy......it brings back memories of when this photo was taken at the old shop:

Great video! Somehow, seeing how things are made adds to the respect/value I place on an object. Thank you Andy and Phillip.

Thanks y'all. I'm going to do more of these. Not having to edit is a big deal. I had a lot more fun doing these than the ones before.

I watched a few minutes of yesterdays live IG feed while on break at work. Using that red grease pen to highlight the dimensions of the workpiece at various stages allows for a high degree of repeatability vs just sanding away. That's a nice pro tip for the hobbyist or beginner. So far, shaping and finishing the handle has been the most enjoyable part of the knifemaking process for myself. Thanks for sharing Andy.
