I hope I am not duplicating any previous questions concerning this, but I keep getting a blank page whenever I attempt a search on this forum. Here's the question - I have an old Edge Mark knife from Solingen, Germany - Model 488. The stag handles are loose and all I need to do is tighten the brass nut in the pommel at the base of the handle. Is there a special tool for this?? If so, please let me know what it is and where I might obtain one. I don't want to risk roughing up the brass nut by improvising and using something not specifically made for the job. P.S. Fantastic Forum, and thanks for all of the great info!!

You can modify a screwdriver for the job, or get a piece of flat steel stock and cut it to fit the nut.

Its an old thread. But maybe someone can help me out. I also have a model 488. Does any one knows what steal it is??? Or anyother info about this knife. I was giving this knife as a present more then 20 years ago. Never used it. I cleaned it up and it looks as it could handle some rough outdoors activity.
