What is the best hand hold to have on a blade during CQC? Or is the method of training best to stick with?

fighting within kissing distance? i prefer the reverse grip (like an icepick). fighting that close can become instinctive and wooly-pooly even for the so-called experts. with a reverse grip, there's no need for focused, calculated stabs or cuts. real power goes with every stab. and it's good for draw cuts when you're up-close.

with an icepick grip (depending on the blade) you can also do a punch to the side of the head and slash them with the knife while you punch past them.
