I'm rehanging a couple of old axes but the wedges that came with the handles I got are rubbish and I haven't been able to find any decently made ones that are the correct size so I need to make my own but I'm not sure how if anyone could help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

If you do not have a chop saw, you can get 1/4" stock in the mill lumber section of Lowes or Home Depot and just shape the wedge as needed.

I have a jig I made for cutting wedges with my bandsaw. A recess the shape of the wedge is notched into a length of wood that I run along the fence. Real quick and easy.
