Handle wrap question

So I’ve been doing more and more ito/tsuka wraps on my on my knives lately, and loving how they turn out. One thing I wanted to do is more of a butt cap wrap of some sort similar to tracker Dan. I can’t figure it out for the life of me and wondered if anyone had any suggestions?
