Handles - 311 - 511 -711

What are the sizes of the handles on the Scrapyard knives?

Is the 311 like the size of a DumpsterMutt.

Are the 511 & 711 the same .... like a Scrapper 6 ... or is the 511 smaller like the DumpsterMutt.

I can't compare them to anything else but I can tell you the 311 and 511 handles are the same. The 711 handle is about a half inch longer and much beefyer.

Hey bro 311 and 511 are same size, both smaller res c, 711 has same size handles as s6 and df. IMHO the 311 feels great with smaller handle the 511 feels a little awkward with the small handles

The 511 and Dumpster Mutt handles are the same size; the only difference is the texture - my DM has the old smaller Basic series handle. The 511 handle has a slightly textured feel all over, which is excellent! The difference of opinion about the handle sizes was the same with the Basic 3 or 5 vs. the Basic 7 or 9 - some people did not like the smaller size handle, but I disagree. I think it probably depends on the size of an individual's hands - mine are average size, and I like both the smaller and larger Res-C grips. For me, the 511 is one of the best knives produced by any of the Busse companies in a long time; for the blade size, the handle feels great in my hands. I recently used a 511 to cut up a large, extra-thick cardboard box, and I was surprised how easily the 511 sliced thru the unusually thick cardboard. I really like the Basic knife series, but I especially like the 3/16" blade thickness of the 511 - it is definitely a keeper!

Agreed. The balance on the 511 seems off for me with the handle size.

I had a 511 and sold it because the handle didn't feel right to me . The 711 , Scrapper 6 and Dogfather handles are all the same size and are just right for "me" anyway . My Busse Basic 6 LE also has the same handle .

I had a 511 and didn't dig the handle at all. I think that the same handle on the smaller knife would be fine, I just haven't handled one in that configuration. I have B10 and love the larger handle. I also have a WarDog. I had the B4 but didn't like the profile of the blade. I traded that for the WD and I love it.
