hi guys, new at this,so maybe someone can answer this?what is the material that looks like rubberize coating on the handles, where do you get it,and how is it appied.love ths site. royboy.

Roy,Im not sure if I am interpreting the question correctly, but if you are refering to factory knives, thats not a coating but the handle material itself. It is molded for each particular model and it would cost a fortune to do this outside a factory setting. If I have misunderstood your question,I apologise.

I think what you're looking for is neoprene. You can find it in most knife supply catalogs. Try www.texasknife.com.

Take care!! Michael

Always think of your fellow knife makers as partners in the search for the perfect blade, not as people trying to compete with you and your work!
