driving home from Florida yesterday I came upon a Gun and Pawn shop with a Buck Knives banner outside. I just had to go in and lo-and-behold...there in the glass case was a 500 Aurum etched deer heard scene, looks to be Sambar Stag Scales...#505 of 1000....Aparently the "old man" was thinning out his safe and after some dickering...no budge in the price ...I couldn't walk away without it...nervously watching the girl behind the counter fumble a bit, I kindly asked her NOT to close the knife.
She then handed it to me and I gently wrapped it in foam sheet.

Now for the question: FINGERPRINTS
I am guessing a blue shop towel is my best bet but before I do anything I will await some SAGE advice from gold etch collectors.
PLEASE ???
and THANK YOU in Advance.........:)

Silicone only, lightly with your cleanest softest cloth. No cleaners or polishes. Ironically, I have an Aurum gold etched knife that Buck included a sample Flitz packet with. What were they thinking?
