OK, let me start off by saying that I understand making a handmade axe of a knife based on Becker awesomeness.

But why is this person actually using the name Kabar Bk2 with no disclaimer about it being inspired by or not a genuine Becker? Does not this misnomer qualify as some sort of copyright infringement?

Who is this seller? Is he one of us, did he get permission to do this and I'm raising unfounded bad publicity?

Or is this a genuine bad thing?

Regardless I thought I'd share with my Becker bretheren

He also has a larger 13" model that is being called a kabar bk2 as well

That is, in a word, FUGLY. Using the Ka-Bar name to get eyeballs? Pathetic. Anyone actually spending money on that? Questionable sanity. I don't know if it's copyright infringement, but it's a travesty, if you ask me. Which you kind of did, by the thread title.

To be honest its sad because the blade is not entirely unattractive if it weren't for the junky knock-off shape of the handle and some might pick one up for $60 if he did it differently.

But yes, as of how it stands i feel the same as granite.

You can report the item there.

I don't wish to do that, I placed it here along with the seller name in photo so that Mr. Becker and/or those associated at KABAR can if they wish to do so.

I believe that's the way it should be handled. These are not my affairs to meddle in but I certainly can bring it to attention.

LOL far be it from me to discourage any one who wants to make a blade, honestly probably better than any of the things I have made... but calling it a BK2... then with a name like manofwolf420... it just makes me giggle a little....

said the man with the user name iwouldhurtafly.... :foot: lol
