Hello everyone! I just started collecting Buck Knives and let me tell you....What an addiction this can become. I just ran across this Knife claiming to be a Handmade Buck. Wanted to see if anyone can help identify. It does say Handmade Stainless Steel 440 on the blade.

Are you sure it's a Buck?
"Hand Made" and "Stainless Steel 440"
does not sound like anything Buck would stamp on the blade.
The pommel also looks off in the picture, like it's mounted sideways.

Looks like it got stuck in a grinder and then run over by a truck. Not a Buck knife.

Thank for your input guys...On a side note I received my never used 2 dot 112 Ranger in the mail yesterday and am very excited about it. Also picked up a No Dot 110 from an antique shop yesterday for a very decent price! Can't believe it's taken me this long to start picking up old Buck Knives.

DM is correct. That is probably a Western M39 (wood handle). Western made decent knives for the era. That one has been taken apart and reassembled incorrectly. The blade design is very useful.

It's not a Buck knife, it's cheapo made in Pakistan.

Many brands import them including Budk, but I think this one looks like a Frost cutlery Deer Skinner II.

Normally they Pakistan and the brand stamped on the blade in ink or an extremely light acid etch which can easily be scrubbed or worn off.

The pommel seems to have been put back on upside down, but here's an example of the Pakistan " Deer skinner II "

The westerns had a forked tang, the Pakistani cope does not.

OK, it's either a Western or a counterfeit Western... I don't have any pakistani knives to compare it too...
