This is the first knife I've completed from A to Z, from design to finish. Here are the specs:

- XC75 steel : Thank you Fabien for giving me the steel!
- 6.5" OAL
- 2" cutting edge
- almost flat ground, or convex with a big radius
- zebu horn scales
- black fiber
- aluminium pins

The tools I've used are a hacksaw, two flat files, one semi-round file, a hammer for the pins, sandpaper, an electric handdrill, a propane torch + sunflower oil :D for quenching, the kitchen oven for tempering, Dremel + felt wheel for polishing the blade. It was fun. You won't belive it, but the most tricky part was properly fixing the rather conic horn in the vise to cut the scales. The finish is not as good as I would like it to be but I can't go any further without a propper buffer. The best source of information was this forum, thank you all!

Sorry for the small unclear picture but it's the best I could get with a camecoder.

Looks pretty good tome Flava. Grinder and buffer aside you get an A+ for that thing. By the way, what does Wharnie mean?

I like it. Looks Tolkenesque. I guess I 'm too lazy to look it up - what is XC75 steel? How is it heat treated?

Nice knife! I like the overall shape and the large pins. Keep it up and thanks for sharing.
