I had a couple heads I needed to hang. I ordered a 32" straight handle for a OVB double and a curved 32"for a Belknap Bluegrass, both from "The Hickory Handle Store" This is what I got. The straight handle looks good, just gonna strip the laquer off, sand, burn and oil. As for the single bit handle, Im not gonna use it. The grain is totally opposite from what it should be. Is there a online store that only sales correct grain handles? Admitidly, I have only broken 1 handle in my life, I just dont want to risk it as this was my dads axe. I really want it to be right. Guess I might just make one. Im gonna try something a little out of the box on it. A laminated handle. I'll post pics.
