Well, I just came up with a theory to effectively trim a hang nail from my thumb.

One would start by putting a fingernail right at the base of the hang nail. The finger nail would act like a cutting board to lightly slice away the excess skin.

One must always move the other fingers and body parts away from the cutting area.

This is only a theory. It is not a proven technique. The above instuctions are not intended to be followed.


I don't know. I thought it was pretty cool. Maybe it’s already widely accepted practice?
