Hanging a True Temper Kelly Works Flint Edge single bit.
I had to do a few modifications here and there to make it work but all-in-all it came out alright.
[SUB]Sanded lacquer off the handle[/SUB]
[SUB]Treated wood with linseed oil[/SUB]
[SUB]Clearing out the stamp[/SUB]
[SUB]Putting color in the stamp[/SUB]
[SUB]The axe head was too tall for the handle, so I rasped it down to make it fit[/SUB]
[SUB]In this case, the slit in the haft was crooked, so couldn't fit an oversized wedge (nor did i have one), ended up just pegging the gap[/SUB]
[SUB]Made a hickory peg from a junker handle[/SUB]
[SUB]Steel crosswedge to ensure sufficient pressure in the eye. Could have been more angled to be perpendicular to the wedge but it'll work[/SUB]
[SUB]A bit of sharpening[/SUB]
Finished and ready to chop!
