I love the flare of a Chitlangi. The Fullers and the round pomel really call to me. But, then I saw a Hanshe!! I love the continuous curve from pomel to tip. It's clean lines are very appealing.

Then I thought what if you put the fullers, pommel, and ornate handle and all that on a Hanshe with its smoothcontinuous curve?

Am I way off base here? Or would that not be a stunning beauty? Or am I describing a blade that is already out there that I just haven't seen?

<I think my HIKV is in full swing again... I've compiled a list of Khukuri and swords!! that I "need"...>

So.. Does that mean it is an original idea that I need to custom order? Do you think it work as a design?

I don't think H.I. has ever made a Chit-Hanshee, but i like the idea. You would probably have to Special order it.

Yeah, I think a little less severe curve would be better for me. But it is still incredible!

Shinook:

I have the recent Hanshe by Lok kami pictured here: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...Deals-for-8-6-Pix-Lok-s-Hanshe-and-Great-Buys

It has plenty of curve, but as you prefer, less severe than the teardrop khukuri in the posting above.

Personally I like the simplicity of Lok's hanshe where the curve tells the whole story, but I'm sure the kamis could make a chitlangi version if you want. Might be a bit of a wait.

The blade on the hanshe (and others that I've seen pictured) is pretty slender and it might be a stretch to fit in two fullers. However, the chitlangi design does not always have two fullers. I have one with a single fuller that looks great.

Of course if you do a custom order you can also ask for a wider blade to accommodate two fullers, but It might end up very front-heavy.

After seeing the one big Teardrop Fuller in the Teardrop Fuller Sirupati, I think that is what I'd rather have instead. What a work of art!

Karda,
WOW!! Truly stunning work of craftsmanship! Thanks for sharing!

I notice the handle isn't curved like some of the other Hanshee's I've seen. Having used both the strait and curved handle, which is your preferred style?

I'm not real picky about it. I like both. I find the curved handles to be visually appealing, but not always comfortable. They really need to be done properly and should fit the individual users hand. Thats what i'm most concerned with on either style, Does it fit my hand and feel like it belongs there?
