The latest from John Powell:
For some reason the Blade Forum has decided I no longer exist (sounds like my dealings with the VA) and I couldn't respond to the HI guys. My old passwords don't work.

I think it's a good idea to maybe throw in something to sweeten the pot - a repro regimental badge or some such. Will look through the selection and advise shortly

I will extend the raffle till the first of June (weekends seem active) and hope to get a few more 'hits'.
If you've forgotten the original deal, or missed the thread, we're talking about a chance at an

original 1820s vintage Nepalese hanshee for twenty-five bucks! You know even your wife couldn't complain if you got a deal like that:D

John is still unable to post for some mysterious computer-gremlin reason. He writes:
Close to full on the raffle. 18 guys from HI and 7 others from Sword Forum and just some guys who want in. One problem is that PayPal only lists 'real' names and the Forum has everyone's internat 'tag'. Have to put the names in the hat via PayPal, checks and m/os.
I think you can put a STOP! within a day or so. If you'd just post that I'm on it, but can't answer directly 'cause of the BF glitch. I'm going to add a nice little "Brigade of Gurkhas" (pix attached) booklet from a 1970/71 tattoo and GWT appeal. It's got a lot of info in it

Here's the latest word from John Powell, whose computer gremlins are still keeping him from logging onto BladeForums:
The raffle closes tomorrow. I will put the names on a list and send it to Bill on the 2nd and Yangdu can pick a winner.
Going, going, .....

Got the problem solved with being sent into ether land and hope I can still be of help to you guys with questions about the older kukris.

The raffle ends sunday, June 1st at midnight. I will make up the list of participants and send them off to Bill. Yangdu (the most honest woman in Reno) will draw a winner of the hanshee and the Brigade of Gurkhas booklet.

Good luck to all. This is a very nice, early kukri.

Bill has the list and will print it out so Yangdu can pick a lucky winner.

Good luck to all!

Bill sez (my interpretation):
Magic powers being conjured up from heaven and earth (and perhaps a little Heineken). Yangdu will draw the name tuesday AM
