This years show just ended a few hours ago. A good time was had by all, Sales were good as were the demo's and educational talks.

Next year 2014 is the 10 year of the Fisk Micro show.
The collectors voted Don Hanson and John White to be the invited makers.
It should be a good show all the way around. We are looking forward to what they bring.
Congrats guys.

Jerry, sorry I couldn't make it this year but I plan to put it on my calendar for next year.

Jerry, you have two fine gentlemen and knifemakers returning to make this tenth anniversary event all the more special.

Jerry,

Thanks go to you for all your efforts to elevate and promote the art of knife-making and the joy of collecting.

The Fisk Micro-Show, which I had the privilege of participating in at the 2009 show, is one of the top gatherings in the country for fans of pretty sharp things.

The show is also about as much fun as can be had in a weekend and still be able to walk around after!

I'm honored to be invited back for the 10th annual Fisk Micro-Show.

Jerry Fisk, J.R. Cook, and Don Hanson set a high standard, and will be bringing some awesome blades, I know.

I'll be getting on the stick early, trying to keep up with that crowd.

I'll look forward to seeing the folks and having fun next October.

Well, what can I say? I'm humbled and really appreciate the opportunity.

I had a great time there 3 years ago! Most fun I ever had at any knife show. Great bunch of folks too!

Thanks Jerry and guys for having me back! Really looking forward to it!

I sure hope Darby will be there!!! :D

Kool! All-Star lineup. Jerry & Bob put together a super weekend. Amazing this is the 10th year for the show. It is a great time, for sure.

Congrats to john and Don there are not to better makers ...... Well maybe Jerry :)

A perma-tourist from Niceville and a refugee from Wakulla county? Got a bit of a Florida Panhandle theme goin' on for 2014, eh? Good choices.:D

Every year seems better than the last! Can't wait to see what all the makers will bring!

This year one of our re-enactors cut a 1 1/2 inch round potato at a full gallop on horse back with a sword among other demo of cuts and sword usage. We got to see and handle some rare old swords and D-Guard bowies.

The Knife Rodeo was won by Brad Baum, with Chuck Kerwin running a close second. We played bowie poker as one of the 5 cutting events. It was more of a test than what they first thought. :) We always try to put a new wrinkle on each year with the knife rodeo with a new type of cut.

We had two educational talks. These are inter-active between makers and collectors so that both learn from the other and better understand our industry and even through they might last for a couple of hours we have to move on to the next event before we can get it all covered as once questions start it raises up more questions. This is the whole point of the weekend. Each of the makers can sell the knives they bring without leaving the house. This show is about being able to bring answers and help teach and give a live demo to questions so that the buyer can become educated about what he is buying.

We are looking forward to seeing and hearing John, Don and JR to see what they bring but also what they have learned that they share with collectors attending.
And yes, Don, Darby will be here and will be cooking Yagu ribs next year. :)

Jerry's Microshow is the best knife event that I have attended and I have been to many. As Chuck said the show gets better and better every year. Thanks to Jerry, Bob, Holly, JR and all the makers.

Darby's Wagu short ribs are the best beef that I have ever tasted.

Next year's show promises to be a great one.

Here are some of the knives from this years show.

Dan Petersen Knives:

I'll post some more pictures in a little while.

Some of the knives that J.R. Cook brought.

The Buddy Thomason picture of J.R.'s transition damascus knife:

Horseman Dagger. It isn't what Cookie called it, I just wanted to name it something other than dagger. My pictures don't do the knives justice like Buddy or Coops do, but I hope that you enjoy the knives regardless. ;)

A close up of the dagger.

Vaquero:

Dagger:

Hidalgo Mini:

Blue Duck Bowie:

A fighter:

I'll put up some more as I get through them and a few of the actual show.
