...and that describes it well. It's smaller and thinner than most of the work Don has done, and so the level of detail is that much MORE engaging.

Signature mosaic blade and bolsters. No stone left unturned. Just.... wow!

Amazing... and your great photography Coop makes it look like you lit the inside of the darned thing, though the quality of that abalone must have helped... Terrific capturing of a terrific knife, wow!

Thanks for the comments guys, they are most appreciated. The abalone on this folder is rare green abalone and has a light reflective quality like I've never seen before, it changes color and intensity as it's moved around, I couldn't capture it so Coop got the job :p and he did a bang up job on this image. Now it's time for me to get back on a few BIG honkin BOWIES:D

When I finally take a break from the bowies and get a gent's folder it will probably be something along these lines - long and slim profile - very nice. Abalone is a nice choice as well - I'm surprised I don't see it more often.

I must admit, I have never been overly fond of abalone. That being said, this knife is absolutely fantastic. Great job Don, that is one drop dead gorgeous folder.

Who's this Hanson fellow? :D
Great knife! I seldom like fancy folders, but this one is outstanding. Slim, classy ... and wharnie!

Ok, it's confirmed. Don definitely has waaaaay too much time on his hands! :D

Yet another example of why I consider Don Hanson one of the finest knifemakers in the World.

HOLY $H!T,

I hope my girlfriend never sees that:D :D :D :D

I really admire your work. if I ever have the money to spend on art folders, I knowwhere it's going.

There sure is a lot going on in that stunning folder and the damascus is pretty darn cool all by itself. Amazing work Don (that is pretty typical) and just as typical is Jim's ability to capture it.

absolutely gorgeous knife. great lines, wonderful filework and beautiful materials incorporated to make pure perfection. Outstanding image done by Coop.

It's unbelievable that someone with such large hands:D can do such delicate work. Amazing work Don:thumbup:

Man, that's captivating.

Looks like a guy could study that piece repeatedly,
and discover something new to appreciate each time.
