Noob question:

i'm getting a gift for a friend for his wedding....do you know if this sword is sharp enough to cut....or is this a sword for display only.

i'm a knife knut but know nothing about swords

at sword center they say this is a "fully functional" sword...i've seen this phrase before...does it mean it will slice thru a Ham say?

i would even consider one used if in excellent condition

thanks in advance, Bill

Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus.
The Practical Katana/Wakizashis are ready to go for all of your ham cutting needs. The new practicals with the antiqued guards are a lot nicer than the older models. But if you really want to go the extra mile, I would say choose the Practical Wakizashi +. It has an even better tsuba (guard) and the handle can be removed if any customizing should be done on it later on. You can remove the handle on the original, but it just requires a saw.
Hope this helped.

Should be ready to go, OOTB.

Lots of folks like the Practical katana. (not saying anything against the wakisashi - just that I know quite a few who really like their PC PK ;))
