BG-42, Oak, and Brass.
Virtually perfect.
And not razor sharp, or scary sharp, but ridiculously sharp!
It opens smoothly and locks up solid like my Sebenza with that great satisfying deep CLICK! No blade play in any direction.
The light color of the oak looks great next to the brass.
This by far exceeds my expectations.
And thanks to Joe Houser for giving it that final inspection before it shipped out.
As usual, the pics don't do it justice.
Enjoy!
Lenny

Lenny,

I can't believe this! I just logged on with my news, as well!

I just bought a new Harley, and what better knife to carry than the traditional bikers' knife, the 110.

As an older guy, this time things are going to be custom, so I had the parts guys at the bike shop order out all of the custom pieces and the bigger motor for the service department when the bike arrives. That just left finding the appropriate 110.

And it just arrived, still freezing cold from the UPS truck!

Mine also has a BG-42 blade (yikes, it's sharp) with stag handles and brass bolsters, no pins and no serrations. I cannot believe the fit and finish. Every seam matches up with the mate. To the artisans who just finished that Wisconsin knife, many thanks.

Beatiful bike, beautiful knife, same crappy black t-shirts and jeans. Should be a great summer!

Tourist,
Nice choice on the stag. Pics?
Looks great with the brass bolsters.
Congrats on the new Harley.
I just bought a BMW last summer. My first bike
in about 10 years. Didn't realize how much I missed riding
till I took my first ride on it.
Can't wait till spring.
Stuff that 110 into its sheath, slide it onto your
belt, and get on the Harley.
That's some good stuff man.

Lenny,

My wife just got a digital camera, and after much stalling, I finally read the instructions and sent my first picture attachment to my friend Lynn Little. I'm not even sure I can post pictures here. I might just send you one to your personal e-mail after we see how my first one went.

VERRRY NICE, Lenny. Always loved that Oak/Brass combo. Great choices. But I must say that Tourists' choices are my all time favorites. Stag/Brass/BG-42 just says it all for me. I'm getting ready to send in an older 2 dot for a refurb and re-blade to that nice BG-42. Its been a trusted old friend over the years, but its seen better days. And from what I've heard and read here, it will come back like new but even better with the new steel. Just love them 110's.

Hey Tourist, send a pic of your 110 on over to me if you'd like, and I'll post it here for ya. willhunt1@comcast.net

Tourist;

Are you going to step up or not?

Purchase the Gold membership, and post those pictures yourself.

Lets see some proof of all this B.S. you trowel out.

Also, having another member post pictures for you is against the rules, unless the poster is using a hosting service.

Put up, or shut up, Tourist.

I received two custom 110s this Tuesday. One was cherrywood/brass/420HC. The other was walnut/nickel silver/ATS-34. The cherrywood one is perfect, but the walnut model had a lot of blade play and a slightly bent blade tip. I sent it back for repair/service. Hopefully, I'll get it back soon.

Code 3.
What's your problem?
I don't see any BS in The Tourist's posts.
If you have a problem with him, take it off line.
Don't pollute my thread with your own immature BS.
Lenny

Lenny;

I simply posted here because the Tourist has failed to respond to me in other forums, and by email. It has nothing to do with you, or this thread at all.

I'd sure like to see his knife picture, though. And it better be posted by him, and not another member.

If you'd like to discuss this further, Lenny, my email is in my sig line. I'd be happy to tell you what is going on.

Lenny, you have great tastes! That is one beauty knife. I always enjoy seeing what you guys order from the custom shop. Thanks for the very good pics.
Phil

sharp258,
Right around 3 weeks.
A lot quicker than I expected.
Thanks for the comments guys.
Lenny

thanks lenny,

i may be ordering one in the near future. i like your combination of the brass and oak but i like the names of the orangewood and the KOA flame wood but could not find any pictures. the pictures they give you while you're building it dont give the wood that much detail.
