BG-42, Oak, and Brass.
Fit and finish are exquisite.
Very strong spring, perfectly centered blade, beautiful Oak grain, smooth edges all around the handle. Stunning polish on the brass.
And not razor sharp, or scary sharp, but ridiculously sharp!
It opens smoothly and locks up solid with a great satisfying deep CLICK! No blade play in any direction.
The light color of the oak looks great next to the brass.
This by far exceeds my expectations.
And thanks to Joe Houser for giving it that final inspection before it shipped out.
As usual, the pics don't do it justice.
Enjoy!

That's a sweet knife ... it's a good thing when a superior blade grind and edge geometry can meet with better steel.

May I ask how much it dented the ol' credit card?:D

$84
When I look at the fit and finish of the knife, I think "Is Buck nuts only charging $84"?
But who am I to quibble over price.:)

Lenny, thanks for posting. Glad to hear that you're happy with your order. I've often gone to Pete's Custom Shop to put together my dream Buck 110 (damascus blade, nickel bolsters, buffalo horn scales) in cyberspace but haven't yet had the guts to click the reality ("buy") button. The site earns my vote for "Best Use of Technology for Selling Knives" award. I wish more knife manufacturers (e.g., Spyderco, BM, etc.) would follow suit.

What a beaut! I'm putting in my order next week. Buck puts out some amazingly sharp knives. Their BG-42 steel might just take the sharpest edge of all.
