Happiness is giving a SOG product as a gift.

Over the last two years, I've procured numerous SOG products. From Fixed blades to Folders to Powerlocks.

Over the last year, I decided to "give" and influence SOG products.

There's just nothing like giving a SOG to someone who appreciates it.

My methodology is simple and twofold.

1. I influence my friends to consider SOG when they are contemplating blades, gifts, etc.

2. Whenever possible, I give SOG products to the people close to me.

Gifts:

My brother and brother-in-law are proud owners of S60 Powerlocks.

My brother is the proud owner of a Mini X-RAY Vision and X-42 Autoclip S64.

Influence:

One of my coworkers loves his Mini X-42, Pentagon Elite, and Flash II.

Another one of my coworkers loves his B60 Powerlock. He's from England, came to the USA for a 2 week assignment, was taken to a gun show(by me), and went home with a B60.

I write this message to relay my appreciation to SOG for their fine products. Moreover, I write it to tell people that it's a great feeling to give(or influence a purchase) a fine SOG product to someone who will appreciate it.

Try it sometime. You and the recipient will be very happy for many years!

Folks at SOG, keep the great products coming!

EYELUVSOGS, What a nice attitude, whether it be with SOGs, or any gift for that matter. But I am sure, the people from SOG truly appreciates your commitment to stick with their product.
I am sure your friends appreciate your fine gifts also, because SOG is a good product, when you find a tool or knife that stands up to what you ask of it, it means a lot. You should buy one for yourself now for being so nice to others :D , like a new Flash 2 Tanto, thats my next one I hope, after I get......:( some cash:p

Very nice sentiment!
My first SOG was a gift from my Dad, my AirSOG. It wasn't brand new, he'd carried it in his car. I borrowed i for something, and he said I could keep it... that started me on this path...

That AirSOG is still in my house, albeit buried under insulation... regular readers know the sad story ... but a very kind Forumite here sent me another around Christmas as an unexpected (and VERY much appreciated) gift...:D

SOGs are great gifts. I have given a few away as well to friends.

eyeluvsogs, thanks for sharing that with us. I recived a Serated Magnadot around Christmas from a friend. It's one of my most cherished blades.

Have given away a number of knives too to family members. It is really neat to see the look on their faces when they open the package.:)

Bobby B, I got an idea, , Rent or borrow a metal detector, make sure it has ALL METAL switch, go in attic and sweep around and anything that beeps or whines really loud will be your knife, nails put off a low sound. Or if you have a buddy that has one, ask him to check with his, set to discriminate iron (nails), then it will only beep on a large item. I have 4 metal detectors and they work on stuff like this very well. Just a thought.

P.S. A little advice, don't step between the rafters. ;)

I actually made a set of customs and had them sealed in plastic. Then placed them in the Isolation under the new floors. First off to keep evil out of the house:rolleyes: ;) , second to give the next guy who pulls up the floor a nice surprise.. When I did the floor (The original boards was from 1890 or so) I found a small package containing coins, a small slipjoint and a letter from the guy that build the house. That was a wonderful surprise!!:D
