Happy 4th of July - Camping with Busse

I hope everyone is having a nice and safe 4th of July weekend. I was able to go camping with my family, which is time incredibly well spent in my opinion. I brought my competition finished ASH-2 (special release at Blade Show 2016) put it to work doing quite a few chores around camp. I don't think the ASH-2's get quite as much credit as they deserve as an all-around great knife.







I finally got to test out my Rocket Stove for the first time, which I like but I definitely need more practice with. I also have some words of wisdom to share, don't use Dunkin Donut's coffe in a french press, it's pretty damn nasty (I'm sure that could have been improved with sugar and cream, but I didn't have either since I usually drink my coffee without).




What is everyone else doing with their Busse's for the 4th?

This year my son is in Camp during the week of the 4th, but my wife and 2 girls gona go swimming, and the usuall lol Burgers, dogs and fire lol
And a bunch of chopping for me

Kicking myself for missing out on the ASH2... and I just looked up the Minuteman stove (that's on my short list of gear to check out). Tomorrow we are BBQing at home, but next week we are headed to the mountains for my birthday... with my Skinny ASH1. Happy 4th!

I just made Cole Slaw for tomorrow's dinner. I will be grinding a chuck roast in the morning to make fresh grilled blue cheese hamburgers, along with grilled corn Mexican style and Caprese salad. resingirl will be making cheesecake with fresh blueberries. Tonight will be Yellowfin Tuna Puttanesca over Angel Hair pasta for resinwife.

Great view. Lake time trying to stay cool during the day and putting the smoker to good use at night. Pork Butt yesterday, ribs today, and brisket tomorrow. Happy 4th everybody.
