I know that I am blatantly abusing the cover of sheath makers in the thread title to make this post.
But I just wanted to say thank you to all the people posting in this section. I have rarely encounter so many all around nice and forthcoming people in an Internet forum.
All the people who post here, be it kydex benders, leather wranglers or else. Everyone is trying to learn and to contribute. Also thanks to those of you who take a lot of their spare time to dedicate it to create write ups, take pictures, give advice or generally try to be of assistance. You know who you are and there are too many to name.
Alas, as quite a lot of you are dudes from the big U.S. Of A and I know that this date is kind of a big deal for you:
Happy 4th of July to you!

And also a big thank you to all the "foreigners" contributing ;)

THANK YOU vilePossum. Very nice of you and Happy 4th of July to you as well.

Thanks Florian!

I like our little town. Does the 4th right. Went to the Bull Riding. The Rodeo Comittee had a new sponosr that was very heavily involved so they presented him with a Henry rifle. The rodeo queens were running through the crowd all night selling raffle tickets. The prize? A case of .22 ammo. During the opening ceromony The Flag was brought in by a mounted LT Col USMC in uniform. He was mounted on a big bay horse and he circled the arena at the lope/canter several times. You looked at the crowd and the announcer hadn't had to tell em to stand and all the hats were off. The last lap he took off at the run. Two things: this bay pony could flat out scoot, big motor and lots of gas and second the Col could ride. Slid to a stop in the center of the arena for the National Anthem sung by Jim the Barber. Like Buck Owens, Merle and some others Jim was a founder of the Bakersfield Sound for you old time country fans. These kind of things do not happen in most towns here in the Peoples Republik of Kalifornia. Happy 4th to everyone.

Hey now, I've seen some pretty good shows full of pride, including F16 fly-overs and parachutes in red white and blue with smoke contrails.

Little dangerous though. A few years back some of the smaller works tipped over and shot into the crowd in Visalia. Didn't hit my family, but got close enough! :o
