I know I am a little early but I know alot of people are going out of town or will be spending time with family and friends. Happy 4th of July all.....try not to eat too much or drink too much and if your outside wear lots of sunscreen!! (I sound like a mom....) ENJOY :) :) :) :)
 


Geee Amy/Mom..... You forgot to tell us to be careful with the FIREWORKS!!! :D :D :D

Got my mortar pits all ready!! Double blasters - kick up about 100 yds, and report w/ two booms and display!!

HAPPY 4th To ALL AS WELL !!! ITS GREAT TO BE AN AMERICAN !! Yeee Hawwww!!:thumbup:

Happy 4th everyone.

Man I have some fond memories of the 4th. Dad would go to TN and buy thousands in fireworks. He had mortar tubes burried out in the middle of a field and would shoot stuff all night long. The whole neighborhood would sit up in our front yard and watch and drink beer. My brother and I got stuck with the clean up the next day though, but it was worth it. One year he got carried away and shot some aerial bomb off and it rattled every window in the neighborhood. There were people a mile up the road who called the county to ask if there was a serious accident or something.

About a year before he passed, the old man set up a tube in a five gallon bucket in the drive. He had a bomb in that mother that didn't go. Imagine if you will a man of 5'7" 300 or so pounds (probably more) running for his life up the drive way. Well it went of and blew all the windows out of all our garages, knocked the smoke right out of the old man's mouth and all they found of the tube was the base plate and there bits of bucket and sand everywhere. I do believe that was the last time he ever played with fireworks except for small stuff. I miss the crazy bastard.
 
The 4th has long been my favorite holiday. No gift requirements or stupid made up card holiday and overkill. Just friends, grilling, beer, explosions, and all for good reason! What could be more American? Happy 4th everyone!
