Hi John -

Looks like your girls all had a good time. The weather was nice here in Peoria.

For the last few years I have been going to the waterfront here in East Peoria early in the morning of the fireworks show to stake out a good spot to watch the fireworks.

I was at the river and had my portable canopy set up before 9:00am, and I staked out a prime spot.

I sat in this spot all day with my little battery operated radio, and watched the people fill up the area.

Before the fireworks there was a small air-show, a nice addition.

Now it's back to work for 4 days, then off to Canada on the motorcycle.

Happy 4th of July. Just got back into town. Almost maimed myself with fireworks like every 4th of July(this time a mini-mortar got stuck in the tube).

Sogetsu, *shakes head* What are we gonna do with you? No gathering was ever complete unless you burned your insides out or cut yourself... and now you're working on blowing yourself up?!?!?! Mortars gave us some trouble this year too... sent me running... and I'm sure I yelled too.
