I love those Krein knives, sooner or later I'll end up with one I'm sure:D I've already got the Le Batard on order. Seeing those steaks reminds me I need to take my Lipitor, lol

I don't have a grill but I found a Chef Alton Brown technique for cooking a pan seared rib eye that sounds like pretty good way to do a steak so I am going to give it a shot.
Going to eat it with a couple of thick slices of this big honkin' tomato. Sliced with a "folksy and traditional " PJ Tomes serrated knife. Happy Fourth everyone!

Great knives and pics Vince. Steaks look yum also.

Rob, I love that picture of the Tomes and Tomato.

Happy 4th amigos!

How exactly do you sharpen the PJ Tomes? It doesn't seem an easy thing to do with these apparently almost square serrations.

I have not had the need to sharpen it yet. PJ did make a point of telling me that one of the nice things about it was that you sharpen it just as you would any other knife. Tomatoes quake in fear whenever I pull it out of the knife block.

Well fellows, I started off very interested in all the knife information content but now I find myself just to darn hungry to be able to concentrate on anything else other than grabbing a grilled hunk of beef..:D

Happy 4th of July 2007..

We had top sirloin, Polish sausage, and marinated chicken kabobs. Not to mention the slaw and homemade milkshakes.

Was a good day, good afternoon with kids playing in the pool, etc.
