The tale of woe:
Several months ago (early fall sometime) I was trimming a fast growing, woody shrub/weed that continues to grow up in between the granite drainage trough next to my driveway and let the edge of my small Sebenza hit a piece of the granite. It put a nick in the blade, though not as bad as I feared it would when I felt the unfortunate impact. A thorough resharpening was in order. I spent quite some time with a DMT stone and then a ceramic stone trying to sharpen the nick out, and when I was done there was still a small nick there and I wasn't happy with the edge I had put on it. I put it away with the intention of coming back to it shortly. Shortly turned into several months.
The happy ending:
A couple of weeks ago I finally finished the job and got the blade back to its original scary sharp state. I knew I had missed the Small Sebenza but I hadn't realized how much until I had it back with me. After over 7 years I still love this knife!
