Happy 4th everyone, and Mainewoods... I will try to be safe, but I am going to be in Portland on Saturday doing a shoot.... given how Maine folks drive.... :O (They dont call you all Mainiacs for nothing).

Let's hope there isn't a flood of pictures posted of cut fingers and hands from everyone's adventures this weekend!
 
I realize you guys were not trying to do this so I am not intending to say this as a backlash. But I am of the mind set that it is Independence Day, less we forget the reason for the day. .......Ok I'm off my soap box.

I second Killstew's thoughts-we have a tendency to forget the meanings behind some of our Holidays and just think of them as long weekends. Stay Safe and Enjoy.

Thank gawd I left early yesterday! Got to Portland right on time, hardly cursed out the Massachusetts drivers on the way up there.... didn't see many Maine license plates... almost all MA/CT/NY/NJ... :)

The way home, the northbound traffic was backed up for MILES... like 20 on 95n. Bumper to Bumper... like forever. BTW.... WTF with the tolls in ME???? $6 in tolls each way!
