Happy Bird Day

Happy turkey day to all! Now remember, FIRE must be used to prepare at least one portion of your meal today. I'm going all the way for a "bladesmith's bird" and quenching my bird in hot oil! :D

Have a happy and safe Thanksgiving everybody!

Thanks for sending the storm up here.;) The wind is starting to pickup right now.

I guess, in a way, Thanksgiving could be looked at as the birthday party for the American turkey.

In that case, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GEORGE!  :D

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

Fitzo, don't you mean Portugee TURKEY? or is that Mr. Portugee TURKEY?
Whatever happy Thanksgiving to all

I think you sent the storm over here as well. how about using a turkey fryer to quentch the bird in. Hope every one has a great day

I have been trying to be nice today, but you two Scanas are pushing it. :jerkit: HEHEHEHEHE!!!

I AM being nice! You should'a seen what I edited out. ;)

If I didn't give you a little love on Thanksgiving, you might worry that I didn't really care. I wouldn't want you to think that.:) Sick as it sounds, I give thanks to know people like you who brighten my days. :D

I hope your ham turns out good. I like marchino cherries in the pineapple rings, personally.

Give Helen a hug for us and have yourself a happy day, my friend.

Have a good one Guys.

Thanks for all the years of fun I've had with all the nuts ,turkeys and jackasses :) here at BF.

So, was I the only one who used a K-Type temp probe to monitor the oil temp for bird quenching? Turkey came out well though. Now I've got to attack the pies! Poor little guys will never know what hit 'em.

I gotta say I'm thankful for all of you folks here who teach me something every day.

Happy Thanksgiving!

 Well I'm sufficiently stuffed (just like the turkey). I hope everyone had a great day.

The last of 15 guests have just left for their wet ride home, leaving behind plenty of leftovers, (especially deserts) guess I'll be eating chocolate cake for breakfast  . Just what I need.

Again Happy Thanksgiving to all. :D

IG probably see you this Saturday  . I hope you don't change your address again  .

Hope you all had a good day. I did almost nothing, so I DID have a good day. :D

I thought I would share a photo of the bird we partook of. He weighed 34 pounds dressed. We raised 9 turkeys this year, and kept the biggest one for ourselves. One thigh and leg fed three of us.

P.S. The turkey we ate is the one in the pan. The other one holding him is my dad. :D
