Susan, Frank... all of you guys... thank you very much for the birthday wishes. Jake and I are doing well here. We are close to rivers for canoeing when the weather warms and spring melt comes. And just a few miles from a knife factory for me to pester in the meantime.

Well, happy birthday! I hope you are enjoying ID. Me, well I am still in TN and glad there is no snow yet. Yes, Santa brought me a new knife (like I need one).
 
Snow? yeah, we got another five to six inches. And Santa did bring new nifes. The oddest being one of those "Card Sharp"credit card knives seen on TV. I was curious about them and evidently so was my son so.... We'll see if it is all it claims to be.
 
Those TV ads do capture my attention. They look uncomfortable to use, but for opening letters and cutting a box open, they probably work just fine assuming the steel takes an edge. My flat knife is a tad thicker being the SOG Access Card 2.0 which I like.

Thank you lady and gents. Family took me out to eat for my birthday, Texas Roadhouse. It was good. And they make the margaritas stout enough if you also order the "kicker" which is a plastic test tube filled with tequila. I do like a straight shot as a warmup to a margarita. Waiter asked my daughter how old she wished me to be, so he announced to the patrons that it was my 23rd birthday. Since I didn't have to drive home I copped a pleasant glow. But I did not get crunk. :)
 
23, don't we wish. I like those maragrita's too. It is my standard drink when I visit restaurants. The problem is tha Cracker Barrel doesn't sell liquor by the drink... you can tell I have very high falutin' tastes. Hmm... Cracker Barrel sound like a good idea for today.... Need to celebrate another year passed and the days are getting longer again.
