I know your up there somewhere, its been seventy years since you opened your eyes to the world and only two years and a few months since you closed them forever. I'd much rather celebrate the opening.

Didn't feel much like fighting the ganza last night, but I feel like celebrating the life that brought me mine. I'd say the beer is on me if I could, but please raise a cold one for my one and only Father! There is indeed a tear in my beer, I miss you Dad!!!!! :(

One of these days when I am feeling rich I want to get one of those engraved Busse's, I know he's worth it. :D

Happy Birthday to your Dad my friend - I'll raise a beer to him with honour !!

I m drinking with you my friend. Heck, I'll even buy the next round:)

I know how you feel brother. Lost mine 5 years ago come February, and I'd give anything to have him back:thumbup:

Keep your chin up brother. He's there.

Worthy cause to raise a cup:thumbup:
Our passed loved ones are never farther away than our hearts.

A cold one will be raised in his honor tonight.

The losses are hard, but the memories are great.

My father passed on too in 89 still miss him, he was a great hunter teacher and mentor. I still wish we were hunting together to this day. But the memories will always be there. I'll gladly raise my glass in his honor tonight, Take Care Brother,

Lost my Dad this past Sept from cancer and COPD, it was tough to watch, but he had 2 1/2 good months before he got really bad.

Thanks to all! :)

KnifeHunter, I lost mine in the same month, not a good one, supposed to be the month of happiness and love. Well, still is, just a little more meaningful now.

Ankerson, I feel your pain, my father had cancer of the liver that spread, but he had it mostly beat and got sucker punched by a mix of pain pills and water pills, I wonder to this day if the doctor needs to be looked at lawfully.

Thanks. :)

He had Stage 4 Lung Cancer, we found out about it because he had Atrial fibrillation and had to be taken to the hospital and they noticed it in the X Rays.

He refused any Chemo or Radiation, that was a good thing because it really wouldn't have helped him at all and it would have made his last few months miserable.

I know what you mean, sometimes Doctors don't make the best choices, perhaps you are correct. :)
