How's the big THREE OH treatin' ya so far, Heber;)?

Thanks Jake and a Happy Birthday to you too! ;) I was born around 2:45pm in Cali 30 years ago so I normally wait till the afternoon to celebrate but things are going fine so far. Passed my cleaning checks last night and also got a lead on some apartments for this summer. Mom says that she has something waiting for me in her car after classes so I have that to look forward to.

What are you and your family doing this evening?

BTW Happy Birthday Iboschi! I keep forgetting that you share the same Borthday as Jake and I. Well, I hope you have a great day!!

Glad to hear it, Heber:)

I was born around 1ish pm Central time. So, I got in a morning full of jabs at my 30 year old wife...I fully expect retribution this evening when I get home:p

My daughter got me a little pendant with a Japanese character that means "Father and Daughter". She has very good taste for a 7 month old;) I arrived to work to find that my assistant left me with a plethora of no-bake cookies. My wife hates these, thus won't make them...It's an awesome treat:thumbup:
Other than that, I'm expecting a pretty low key day. Just work as usual, and I have heard through the grapevine that my wife might be making me a peach cobbler :D

Jake, sounds like a good day. Just watch out for your wife, I bet she can come up with some great ways to get you back.

This reminds me of a story that I'm sure you'll like: Years ago my friend Debbie had a joke that you were an old fart at 21. So on Febuary 16th 2002 when she turned 21 I emailed her saying "Happy Birthday Debbie, You old Fart", or something to that effect. Well on the 24th she emailed the same thing back at me. We had a good laugh.

Is it Dutch Oven Peach cobbler? I'm thinking about making some before work this evening.

Ya know, it very might be in the dutch oven. After years of reading about your famous DO cuisine, my mom finally bought me one for Christmas. I've used it for EVERYTHING, and cobbler has been on my "to make" list for a couple months.

My wife might wimp out and use a regular glass dish, but you simply can't beat the even baking of the DO. Hmmmm, now that has me thinking. I have about 5lbs of frozen fruit in the freezer. I'm getting visions of a healthy cobbler alternative with sweetened dumpling style drop biscuits floating on the surface...mmmmmm.

OK, I really need to stop. I've been eating No-Bakes all morning:foot:

Happy Birthday, Guys !!!

although, it's a little sad that manly men discuss recipes on their birthdays. :)

wacherrespectiveasses, hear?

Thanks fellas:)

I had to google that one, Danny. I thought maybe your cat had gotten up on your keyboard:D

Kis, I'll watchmahass. You watchermailbox. Evey sent you something the other day.

Thanks Gents!

Jake, Dutch oven cobbler is the only way to go. ;) I bought Gluten free Yellow Cake mix and my favorite canned peaches. Was going to have a small party today before work but instead I'll probably play Half-Life 2 or take a nap. Mom took my to lunch and I had to much free Fried Ice cream. But it sure was good!!

Got some Hard bound Louis L'amore's, a small cast iron skillet and some more gluten free stuff. Can't wait to start on the new westerns. :D

Happy birthday guys!

Heber, glad to see you're still around the forum! For some reason I still think about that vicious cut you got that you wrote about years ago from time to time. Must be the pics you posted at the time as they stuck with me!

Best wishes to you both.

Norm
