I thought I had changed my birthdate. Oh dear. Must've stuffed up while I was laid off in Hospital...

Anyway, my actaul birthday is 12th Hanuary 1980. That makes me 25 this year. Gee, I don't feel it... Then gain, I do sometimes.

Anyhoo, my recovery is coming along *REEEEEEEALY SLOOOOOOOOOW*...

During my ongoing reviews last year and my subsequent appointment on Wednesday 5th Jan 2005, my femur (thigh bone) was shattered into 7 to 8 bits, which were haphazardly fixed back to a 0.5" (or so) "nail". These fragments kinda didn't settle back together very well and I have a gap of about 1-2mm or so (not sure, it's hard to tell from xrays) in my femur which is trying it's darndest to grow back. Overall, it's a *MUCH* better report compared to the last xray done on 8th December 2004, which showed a large gap in my bone around the "nail"...

I may be up for a bone graft, if that's what the head ortho. at Royal Melbourne Hospital decides.

Other than that, my left wrist is doing really great. I'm back to doing some training, namely FMA-flourettes/Sinawali, basic Shingen Ryu Battou Jutsu drills, squeezing-strengthening exercises and I managed to be able to get some push-ups done, which is quite and achievement, since I'm only using 1 leg...

And no, I haven't played World of Warcraft. I'm on this computer enough as it is. And my internet connection would kill me. Not that I wouldn't want to...

And my family is just fine. They're *WAAAAAAY* out of the path of destruction in Singapore. The closest to them was the island of Penang, but they weren't even near there... My parents may have friends in the region, but as of yet I haven't heard anything.

Whew! So, that's been me in the last few weeks...

Fortunately, Malaysia escaped the worst of it. Thailand, Indonesia, and Sri Lanka got hit real hard, though.
