Hello everyone. I HAVE ELECTRICITY, CABLE, AND THE INTERNET. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT. HURRAY!

Thank you so much for the birthday wishes. I spent the day yesterday feeling pretty thankful and exhausted thanks to Jeanne. I really could not believe how loud and scary the winds sounded against my home. I didn't sleep a wink the whole night before my birthday. We have a lot of trees around our house and the wind was very loud and relentless. I can't tell you how many times I jumped up trying to figure out what caused the terrible crashing sounds. I never did figure out what caused the sound of metal crashing against metal. :confused: :eek: I cannot imagine what it must have been like for those closer to the initial impact area. Anyhow, I had an all night cardiovascular workout with my heart pounding out of my chest the way it did. We experienced no real damage aside from the tree landing on the power lines in our front yard. It wasn't our beautiful oak tree so I'm okay with it. :D The city was out first thing in the morning to remove it. They're AWESOME. :D

So with that said, I spent my birthday thanking God for our good fortune. We were spared. I really hope that everyone else came out okay as well. So what the heck is going on with those earthquakes...:eek: :(

BTW, I've reached the BIG 3-0 now. Isn't that terrible. :(
