It's a funny thing, but, as years go by, I think you appreciate more and more what a great thing it was to be a United States Marine... People will tell me what a shame it was I had to go back into the service a second time, but I'm kinda glad I did.. I was an avionics bubba myself. They closed MCAF Tustin and MCAS El Toro in 1999, but still haven't done anything with either of the them. The plan is to keep one of those big hangers at LTA as a landmark.

I was at MCAS El Toro for a few months for school, and then spent 3 years at MCAS Yuma. Aviation Ordnanceman 6531; 1977-1981.
