You're only as old as you feel. If you truly enjoyed yourself yesterday, you should certainly feel your age today.:D

I did have a great time - but I am laying off the alcohol for now - I want to lose some weight and get back to my "fighting weight" of 220 from my current 255.

I have been adding a lot of calories to my diet with just alcohol - and that is whiskey, not beer! Adding to my challenge was that two of my good local buddies gave me Jack Daniels and Knob Creek as gifts!

I did pick up a couple of nice edged presents - a very nice Leatherman Juice SC2 (I bought that for myself...) and my step mother gave me a tiny little slip joint that belonged to her grandmother - I'll be posting pictures and trying to find out info about that cool little knife later - maybe tomorrow or Tuesday.

I also received a very nice package of spices and smoked salt from Drift Creek Gourmet (Mack and Karen) - I am looking forward to spicing up some meals this week and reporting how tasty it is! The smoked salt is just outstanding - it smells so smoky good - thanks Mack!

sounds like a great bday. but, won't the whiskey help you forget your 50?? hi-oooo. sorry buddy. couldn't resist.

i'm actually in the same boat. i'm 255 and would like to get back down to 220. and like you, i need to decide if i should cut the rum out of my diet....or keep the rum and stop eating. ;)
