Yes....Happy Birthday Dave!! Really looking forward to when you're able to come back here and start posting again. I miss all your pictures and your knowledge of Buck knives. Wishing you a full and speedy recovery!!
On a side note....I am probably the only one who watched all 4 minutes and 8 seconds of Skyhorse's Happy Birthday video he posted above. Not because I liked it so much, but because I was trying to figure out who the third chipmunk reminded me of. The chipmunk that always ended up on the left and swung his hips to the music definitely reminded me of oregon. The one in front resembled 300Bucks a lot. I haven't had the pleasure of meeting you yet Skyhorse, so maybe the tall one with the glasses was more like you. Hummmmm...just thinking out loud on this fine Monday morning................
Your hiatus from the forum to me is at least as problematic as if Mt Everest inverted would be to Rinehold Messner, the first climber to solo this near 30k ft high king of peaks. Purely personal here but I hope to see the mountain return. BTW, revel in your time and celebrate, with me (beer for breakfast!) as I raise my bottle high, hurrah California Dave.
Stumps I checked the mirror and my fur has more gray in it than that high-pitched squirrel so I don't see the resemblance. Also, I just might have found my long lost evil twin!
Happy birthday! I don't really know you, but you've always been very helpful in answering any questions an identifying knives for me either directly or indirectly. A lot of times, I'll be googling something looking up info on a knife, and I'll find an old archived blade forum post where you've already answered it.
Talked to Dave this evening and he asked me to convey his thanks for the Happy Birthday posts to all his pals here on the Buck forum.
He has a connection problem that makes it impossible to go on line at the moment.
