It was actually a present to myself. I originally purchased a MARS, but there was a minor defect in the blade (not Elishewitz fault). So I returned it and Mrs. Elishewitz let me pick from a bunch they had ready for the NY show this weekend. It was tough, but went with this....

A Spectre with Carbon Fiber bolster and Maroon Micarta scales. Very shweeeeeet!

It's my first Elishewitz, but probably not my last. Thanks to Allen and Valerie. Beautiful work and great customer service!!!

A very nice gift! First time I've seen a knife with carbon fiber bolsters and not the handle. Looks sweeeeeet! Great choice, I've always liked his spectres.

What a beauty. I've got a three inch, green G10 handled spectre that I think highly of also. Happy b-day.

I have been giving a lot of thought here recently to buying a Speedtech, but the more I look at Elishewitz's stuff, the more I think "Spend the extra 200 and go for the gold" Probably just have to get the both. But, in summary: you are one LUCKY guy. That knife is beautiful

Mickey; I hate to kiss and tell, but it was 4.5 bills. Well worth it for one of a kind.

Micro & Chiro; Yea, the CF bolsters were a first for me too. He had a few more with wood scales that we're pretty nice, but this was the only one with the maroon micarta.

Justin; I say hold off and get a true custom. I've actually sold about a dozen production pieces I had in the last couple of weeks (including a Sebenza) to get an Elishewitz and a MT Combat Talon II. After about a year and a half of gathering knives, I'm starting to head towards quality not quantity.

Hey King-

That is a nice looking Specter!

Seems like a good match to what appears to be a customized P35 that you have in the background.

Stay sharp!

Good eye Jim,
My Browning had "little" work done by Cylinder & Slide. I just noticed how much the Spectre reminds me of your Synergy, another beautiful knife!!

Micro; Should be getting my Combat talon by the end of the week and it's my first MT.
I'm drooling already!
