My birthday was a couple days ago and I've been planning my birthday gift to myself for a while. I really wanted a Fontenille Pataud laguiole but that wasn't in the financial cards right now.

So I had it narrowed down to another Chambriard Compact, a Lion Steel Best Man, or a Case Tribal Lock.

I have a Chambriard Compact and love it and even though I was going to get a different handle material, I decided I wanted something new.

The Best Man was really, really calling to me. What a great looking knife. My only concern was maybe it being a little too blocky in pocket.

Oh those Tribal Locks... Another great looking knife that I've drooled over here many times. So many times I've been close to getting one but my fear was it would be a little too big in the pocket.

But... I just couldn't resist any longer!

I plan on doing a bit of a write-up review after I carry it for a week or so but so far I'm loving it. Despite its size, it's quite pocket-able. I'm not sure yet if it will supplant my beloved Mini Copperlock but it just might. And it most definitely makes me want to try out a full sized Copperlock.

Absolutely no regrets with my choice. :)

I bought one, despite reservations about its size (too big for my taste), its single blade (I tend to favor two or more blades in a folder), its lockback construction (I prefer slipjoints). And, despite those presumed drawbacks, it has turned out to be one of my favorites!
Looking forward to your reactions after you've carried it for a while. :thumbsup::)

It came Monday (I ordered a month early because it was coming from France, but it only took a week to get here). I opened the package to inspect it, but will wait till my birthday to start carrying and using it. I will post pics, of course.

I was able to handle a yellow Delrin Tribal Lock at a gun show a few months ago. Feels great in the hand. It's a really good size, and I love the blade shape. A Tony Bose design, I believe.
