lets say you had a birthday coming up, and a few family members who are willing to throw in close to 200 bucks...

which tactical hawk would you ask for?

I am excited about this piece of kit and want to strap it to my bag and take it camping and hiking with me, but I do prefer a very tactical look...

Hi there Loosey
Steve Liley makes a great "Ranger" hawk with a scary leaf shaped "spike".
Coal creek forge.

Robin

Happy birthday:D

The stuff Vec puts out is the top of the line imo. He has some amazing skills giving them a tactical look too with some wicked camo colors or my favorite all black. His are actually cheaper than most too:cool:

I do have a RMJ Eagle Talon but i would never carry it. It is just too heavy and it actually is a poor chopper with that thick edge.

I do really like what I have seen from vec, I looked at his website but found it unclear if he had anything currently for sale?

this is codename Looseyfur, actual...

how copy?

(thank you both for the suggestions)

+1 for Vec and Coal Creek. In addition to making great hawks, the're good dudes as well. Steve's stuff is more traditional looking, which I generally prefer. Vec makes synthetic handles that have ridiculous strength from what I've heard. Both are among the best at what they do.

ranger knives Renegade hawk, for the $$ (in your budget) I think it will be tough to find a better tac hawk

I have a few, have handled many and really love this hawk...

My wife got me a MMHW Battle axe #3 for my birthday in August. She's very awesome!
