Well apparently Andy made an impression on my wife way back at the Fiddleback/Fletcher Blade Show dinner. Normally she complains that knives cost so much. Well fast forward to today. My birthday was Saturday and the day came and went with no big hooplah. Today was the first day at work for me due to the holiday and in walks my wife with a priority mail box. I told her, I haven't ordered any knives, I swear. She said open it. So without reading the label I did. Inside was this:

Now pictures don't do this knife justice(especially my crappy ones). She got me a Bushfinger with antique micarta handles with orange over black liners. Also inside the box was one of Heber's awesome sheaths! This thing is a great present and I'm so lucky to have her(my wife).
Andy thanks for an awesome knife, something tells me my wife needed a lot of help getting one.

score! that's a keeper...or should i see keepers?...plural. ;) congrats TooQuiet and happy birthday.

Wow TQ, congratulations! That antique micarta is gorgeous stuff. What a wonderful thought and gift from your wife. She is indeed the real deal! Happy Birthday!

Man, I'm glad you like it bro. I left the finish on the micarta at 120 per her request. If you want it sanded all the way out, just bring it by the shop. She said you liked the grippy finish on the machete handle better than the polished one you already have. I couldn't bring myself to leave it at 80 grit though.

That is the rarest of the antique micarta. The rest of it came in 3/4" thick or 1" thick sheets. This stuff was 1/4". That means it has the darkest toastiest color. Its the best there is.

She got a sister that wife of yours? Sorry for being cheeky, but it seems you got a gem there:)
Happy b-day and congratulations on a nice blade.

Dude - not only she got you a blade - but paid so much attention - she contacted the maker of your choice - had good handle choices - and knew what you liked in the grip.

SHE is a keeper!
