These just arrived!

Dan Burke - Queen Wharncliff Whittler in Winterbottom with Sandvick 12C27
3 1/4"
A very beautiful knife that I am very pleased with.
Very beautiful lines, and the bone accents the shape of the bolsters
Very thin on a single spring
A sharp Wharncliff blade, feel just right when I hold the knife
It is actually a fancy pen knife for its shape and size, it will just disappear into my pocket, (sorry Case Pen knife!)

Schatt & Morgan Half Whittler #16 Series in Bradford Jigged Green Bone with 420 HC 3 1/2"
S&M call it a Serpentine Moose on their catalog, but a Half Whittler on the box.
This is my first S&M. A winner for me.
The confusion in the name actually gives me what I want, a good sized turkish clip blade of a moose and a small coping blade of a whittler.
Very well made, the coping blade sticks a little, but I will loosen that up with use.
The bone is very special, it is brown jigging on a greenish background, and I do not have many different bone bolsters.
The single spring make for a slimmer knife.

GEC Tidioute #25 Jack with Sheepsfoot main blade in Northern Lights Acrylic with 1095 carbon
Ok this is my first GEC...
I took a big risk and ordered acrylic
Who ever did this acrylic has seen the Northern Lights. (last time I saw them was in Vermont)
The colors are amazing, it catches the light and is translucent like old bone.
This shifts a trad slippy in to something quite modern looking, very interesting indeed.

The knife itself is excellent.
Bill picked me a non-nail breaker.
Excellent quality, F&F very good indeed, nice strong snap, clean 1/2 stops which I like, the blade is not going anywhere!
I have no feeling of the 3" being little, I have a handful to hold on to.

Three quite different special occasion knives.
The Burke has a lot of design in it, small enough for fancy occasions.
The S&M has very simple clean lines to it, with clip opened, and lovely bone.
The Tidioute is a bad boy, classy and flashy

Very pleased with these three knives

Enjoy your new knives, Neeman and stay safe my friend.

neeman,

You have wonderful tastes in slipjoints!. They are all nice but that Dan Burke -- Wharny Whittler in Winterbottom bone just takes my breath away! That is one I will have to look into for myself. If she is built anywhere near as nice as the Cattle pattern knife from him I was just recently fortunate enough to receive, you are going to be very pleased indeed. Dan's work is flawless from what I have experienced thus far. He makes a very fine working tool reminiscent of 19th century cutlers.

Yes, I am with Elliot, please be careful out there.

Neeman,
Happy Chunuka, Christmas could not have happened if at first there was not a Chunuka! Great looking knives!

Congratulations on your new friends.
You have exquisite taste.
Be safe out there.

Thanks for the kind words.
The troubles are south at the moment.
I am north near to the Lebanese border :)
A different reality here.

Yes, the Dan Burke Queen is very special.
I am very impressed with it.
Now I understand what pocket jewlery is!
It came razor sharp, so I will not need to sharpen it for a time.

All told these are a really good score!

Neeman,
very nice score.

One of these days we have to get together...

How much does customs fleece you for your knives? Do you order direct, or ship through a middleman? How long is the wait? Interested parties (with similar problems) would like to know....
