You can balance an egg any time...you just have to have confidence in it. The idea of a special day for it gives folks that confidence...for the day at least.

It's one of those "Grasshopper" moments...you have to have faith in yourself.

My mom used to take us out onto the patio every year and make all the kids around balance eggs. LOL. Never even occured to me to try on a different day. Never thought it was that interesting anyway.

Standing an egg on its end is easy. Sprinkle some salt, stand the egg in it and blow away the extra salt. Product photography trick.

Overall, we've had quite a bit of rain this season. Don't mind. It keeps those hills looking likeIreland until June. After that they are brown and fire season begins.
