Just want to wish all you Dads a Happy Father's Day. May you keep on teaching and preaching to your kids what it takes to be a good citizen. Morels, ethics, giving, survival skills and how to handle a knife. Hope you all get the Buck knife of your dreams. lol, it would be nice but not as rewarding as success in all the above.
Start your day now, enjoy the whole weekend because after Sunday you have to wait a whole year for another
I plan on cooking every day, going golfing, might go fishing, just a little bit of yard work, washing my truck, drinking a beer or three and spinning a few LP's.

What you have planned?

Instead of thinking about what our kids will do for Father's Day, it might be better to think about the pleasures of being a father. I don't expect a Buck knife from either of my two sons. They both know I have very specific knives that I want, but they don't know what they are. The best Father's Day gift for me is knowing that my sons are doing well (That is through no fault of mine.). My son who has children has put on a lot of miles getting his kids to various tournaments and events, and I get a little "payback" pleasure for all the miles I put on doing the same. I do have a bonus since one of my grandsons will be riding in the National High School Rodeo Finals next month. I will be there cheering, living vicariously, and quietly admitting that already he has done much better than I did many years ago.

Great post bertl. Feel the same way. Just knowing my grown-up kids are doing well is enough for me. A visit from my daughter and granddaughter and a cool out will make my day. Good luck with yours at the rodeo. Must be a swell place to live.

I am having a great Father's Day so far,got a nice cabelas 110 in a metal tin ,so can't beat that lol.

Happy Father's Day gents. My Dad and Mom came yesterday to visit us on the coast. We took them to a favorite seafood restaurant so my Dad could have the fresh seafood platter - he loves seafood (we all love it too!) Yesterday was also the last day of the Big Rock blue marlin tournament and we walked the waterfront looking over all the boats - Dad was quite the fisherman in his day. My own children are scattered around the world, I'll hear from them today. OH

Happy Father's Day, men. Hope you have a good day. I'm going to spend the morning with my wife and daughter, have brunch with my own dad, then go to a Father's Day "Beer and Cheese" festival in town. I'll finish the day by servicing and sharpening my chainsaw. Woo hoo!

Excellent post, bertl! I know my son is doing well and that is great! Will be going out to race go karts with my daughter later today. She is doing great! Have spent time with my wife and daughter so far. I'm going to get some wood for a saw guide so I can finish work on an exterior door. Maybe later today I will enjoy some of the single malt Scotch I've received. Thank you for all of the great Father's Day wishes. May all of you father's on the Buck Forum have a great day too!

No father's day today for the German fathers. We had father's day some weeks ago. But not in the way the Americans have. But at least it is a funny day, the father's day, here in Germany too. Have a nice day, guys. [emoji4][emoji3][emoji106]

Interesting stories on what you all do on Father's Day. Like hearing about everyone's day so keep posting, gives inspiration. Today we went to early service so we could golf with my two boys and Grandma. My youngest...I beat him by one...he is 14 on Monday. :o I have to practice some more. My oldest, the farmer...when he hit the ball well it went for a mile straight otherwise...not so good. Got to love him. He bought a truck last year paid it off, upgraded and bought another this year. His truck is 3 years older than mine  he's 16.5.

Have some ribs in the oven getting ready to finish on the grill (would have loved to smoke them...but not enough time). Dad's mashed potatoes, corn from Florida and Grandmas dessert. Game 7 of the NBA Finals then off to bed.
