My Father passed March 22nd but we had him til he was 90 and we are trying to make today a celebration of all the memories of bbqs and laughing being with family today and not about the loss ... these are the last two knives my Father gave me.

Hope everyone had a good day yesterday! I was busy. My niece (who is also my god-daughter) had a HS graduation party planned. Unfortunately, the AC at their house was out, and it was going to be 90 deg out, so I volunteered to have it at our house. It was quite the spread, I did all the cooking on the grill and a bunch of other prep stuff...tons of food, ribeyes, burgers, dogs, pasta salad, fresh guacamole, etc. I did eat well!
I didn't feel any shame passing out in the recliner that evening! I guess that's what being a dad is all about, after all.
