Cute! Did you guys get a lot of trick or treaters? We got waaaaay more than usual, probably due to it being Saturday.

Great photograph! I always give out full size candy bars because I remembered how cool it was to get one when I was a kid, and ran out about 45 minutes early. We were swamped with kids. Great fun and my favorite holiday.

Weather wasn't very good this year, so there wasn't as much activity as usual, but it was still a very good haul for the kids.

We usually go to my daughter's BFF's neighborhood to trick or treat, so I just leave a big ole bowl of candy (Mid size Snickers, Twix, Kit Kat, and Smarties) in front of our door, and a sign, requesting that trick or treaters, "please save some for others, please take no more than 3 treats". The kids are usually pretty good about that. We were gone for a good 2 hours, and we still had a few pieces left when we got back. No one came around after 9pm, by that time it was drizzling outside.

Way Cute Cul! LOL Bac Si, Of course when I grew up a lot of folks in my neighborhood MADE treats for the treat part instead of store bought candy. I remember getting really yummy cookies, brownies, popcorn balls, a handful of jelly beans or occasionally nickles and dimes and once I even got a quarter. I think about the time I was getting old enough to go to the Halloween Dance instead of trick or treating was about the time store bought candy became popular. I usually only get a couple of kids each year, so I always buy about 20 full size candy bars and usually have more than half of them left over for my sweet tooth :D But this year we didn't get a single kid. There aren't any younger ones in our neighborhood anymore and we are a ways from any large neighborhoods where the kids would have naturally spilled over to our area. Was kind of a silent Halloween, Hubby and I watched a couple old spooky movies and turned out the porchlight and went to bed about 1am without seeing a single little goblin, princess or superhero.

Yea, those days of homemade treats are long gone. Unfortunately, there are really crazy people out there, who try to not only ruin Halloween for the kids, but try to hurt them as well. I have found, and my friends have found things like, razor blades in snickers, hard candies dipped in clear nail polish, tips of nails stuck in apples, etc... I don't even want to know what caused hypodermic needle like holes in soft candies, such as taffy, snickers, peanut butter cups, and the like, probably injected a toxin of some sort.

We basically let them trick or treat, bring everything home, and we scrutinize all the packaging, any made treats, fruits, and such are just thrown away; any wrapped commercially available treats are inspected carefully, and if any doubt at all, it goes in the trash.

What a world this has become, isn't it supposed to get better rather than worse?

Great pic man, she looks like a wicked cutie. Sounds like you guys had an awesome time! Glad everyone stayed safe.

Being in a college area I saw more adults dressed up then kids. I did see a parade of kids in costumes on campus, don't know what they were there for exactly. All I ended up doing was heading to a Korean kiosk restaurant and ordering something very spicy. I've been dealing with a lot of congestion this week, which peaked on Thursday night when I got some fever, reduced sense of balance, and pain in some strange places. I was surprised, normally it's hard to find spicy food around here, but the meal I got was very spicy, even by my standards. I went through two bottles of water and still felt some of it twenty minutes later. Very tasty too. If I ever need to do an immediate purge of my sinuses I'll head over there again. That may happen tomorrow.

Here's Noah and at his first Halloween party last night. We went as farmers.

Noah looks just like his dad! Damn...it's like looking at a mirror. I wish my daughter would look at the camera like Noah.

Glad you all had fun!

Adorable kiddos, my friends:)
Evelyn went as Elsa from the Frozen Fever Disney short, which is different than just regular old Elsa that she went as last year.
You see, the dress is GREEN and cost $34 compared to the dress we already owned;)

My wife went as Anna, my mom was a cat, and I dressed as a stick in mud who worked all day;)

The Weather cleared up, and it was such a fun evening:)

That Elsa dress from the short is really nice, we did get it for Alyssa, but she really wanted to wear her Merida dress, since she was outgrowing it. She wants to wear the new Elsa dress at Disneyland for the holidays with her friends.

Halloween is one of those holidays were the adults and whole family can have fun too. Glad you all had a great time.

Boy he does look just like his dad except for the whiskers. You have a fine young lad there Phillll. I love the giant smile on his face in the bottom photo. That is one killa farmer shirt you have on too. The embroidery at the top is wicked cool.

Me and my daughter dressed up as Batman and Batgirl. Well... according to her she was "Batbaby". She's been obsessed with super heroes lately but she believes every super hero has a wife and a baby. So you've got superman/supergirl/superbaby, Wonder Woman/Wonder Man/Wonder Baby, Aquaman/Aquagirl/Aquababy, etc.

Cute how those little minds work, eh? Mine went through that phase a short while back.

My favorite invention of hers is the Martian Manhunter family. His wife is Martian Girlhunter and their daughter is Martian Babyhunter.

ROFL Blue, Gotta just try to keep a straight face and nod solemnly eh? Girlhunter?? HAHAHA!!! Sounds more like a single guy :D

Gotta say Philllll, You neglected the face fuzzzzz on Noah's costume, should have made him a beard, could have cut off enough to make him a full one and not even missed it from yours ;)

Seriously cute, wish we still had some in the neighborhood that would have come around. I miss the ones that age trick or treating.
