So, last Sunday I posted a thread about losing a BK11 out of the sheath at the dog park. I sent Ka-bar an email via their website in a positive way to let them know that the sheath in my BK11 did not have a very positive hold on the knife and in the future would love to see a sheath that was a bit tighter. Much to my surprise, I received an email from their support system thanking me for the feedback and she would pass the info on to their team. She also said that she would send me a new knife since I went out and could not find it after I looked. I was dumbfounded as most companies would have said "great thanks." SO, I am sitting on the couch watching a movie and playing with my new BK11!

I like to do buisiness with companies who take care of their customers.
Way to go Ka-bar.
Companies who do the right thing are becoming fewer and farther between.
Nice to see an American based company with outstanding customer service!
 
This is great to hear! Good to hear things like this with my recent acquiring of my first few Beckers.
 
This is awesome, I had a similar experience with 5.11 and their MOAB 6 I will add KABAR to my list of trusted companies for sure
 
So Awesome to see that there are companies who still put their customers first.
 
yea thats pretty awesome of them to replace a lost blade.. Nothing in the warranty about loosing knives yet this great company still looks out for the customer! Awesome news and enjoy the steel, maybe this time add a retention cord like advised in the other thread, shochcord/paracord or whatever to avoid this issue again.. I have thought i lost my bk11 once and it was my k9 custom bk11 too, i was very upset. i ended up finding it later that night in a basket of clothes from when i was washing clothes earlier that day it must have fallen off. since then, when its on my neck, its always secured!
 
I would be severely bummed if I lost my 11.
Azwelke Kydex has been a worthwhile investment for me.
I still need to check out some of GODSPEED and the 710's handywork.

Is godspeed still around? I mean we were emailing each other a while back and i was trying to get a sheath made but he was in the middle of a group buy thing so he was busy, but he did ask me what i wanted and i asked for a price and payment options and then he stopped replying so i just figured he was too busy. that was a while ago and i havent seen or heard anything from him since and his website still wont let you order anymore and its close to a month since he logged on here... Its a shame if he isnt making them anymore because his sheaths look amazing. But im currently waiting on my azwelke sheath and im sure ill be completly happy with it.
 
Godspeed IS still around. He actually is making me a sheath right now on a trade we made.
