There are plenty of places to post about gratitude around the holidays, but I like to make this post every year, knife-centricly gratitudinal.

Grateful for the many friends I have discovered over the years who are as into knives as I am, if not more so....Phil Baldwin and Layne Goldsmith, Chuck and Brenda Bybee, Jim and Susan Cooper, Bob and Pat Crowder, Harvey and Deborah Dean, Matt Diskin, Dave and Elayne Ellis, Larry and Linda Fuegen, J.P. and Karen Holmes, Phil and Judy Lobred, R.J. Martin, Joseph Paranee, Buddy and Laura Thomason, and Thomas and Noel Welk...just to name a few....You all make my life and the lives of others so much more colorful and joyous...Thank you!

Like to thank Mike Craddock for making me a wonderful knife and showing professionalism and willingness to incorporate modifications to make it a really good one. Like to thank Charles Vestal for being willing to take on the daunting project of making 15 knives for the CKCA, and making mine the best one, lol. Really like to thank Gus Kalanzis for picking up that killer Mike Zscherny stag/damascus wharncliffe trapper for me at Blade! Like to thank Burt Foster for continuing to work with me on the Decade Project.

Like to thank the company I am currently working with because they got me back in the cutlery field and that is a great place to be if you suffer from our "affliction".

Lastly, grateful to the knife community for being solid, forthright and steadfast. Never been prouder to belong to a community than I am to be with "knife people".

BTW: Merry Christmas.
Here it is snowing with lots of power outages and cars in the ditches.
But I am flying down to your neighborhood this weekend.
Maybe then I will be able to feel my fingers and toes again.

I wish each and every one of my friends,(and that, of course includes everyone who reads this) Very Happy Holidays, and a Very Merry Christmas, and a very eventful and Happy 2013 as the individual case may be.

Like, Stevie, I am extremely thankful for all the friendships I have, and continue to develop. All of you mean so much to me. Particulalry thankful for my two errant boys, Joey and STevie ( somebody has to love them!:rolleyes:)

I look forward to 2013 and all the wonderful memories yet to be hatched.
