I'm witing here (even though a Benchmade fan) since I only have an FRN Delica currently, (I gave my FRN Endura to my son-in-law when he joined the Air Force) and I don't know much about Spyderco's.

I was in a local B&M type sporting goods store today, and ran across a couple of Spydercos they were no longer going to carry in their "sale" bin. I usually check, since you can occasionally get some pretty good deals.

Anyhow, I picked up a SS Pegasus with a SE blade for $19.95 plus tax and a Native (FRN) SE for $29.95 plus tax.

I'm a PE fan, but thought, what the .... The SE is supposed to be great, and for the "price" I thought I should try 'em out...

Should I be Happy, did I get Hosed or are the prices just Ho-Hum?

The Native sure seems well built - much heftier than my Delica. Any comments on either one?

IMO you got a great deal on both,as long as the Native doesn't say BRK on the blade. The lowest I have seen the Pegasus is 45.00 and the Natives are useally around 50.00 at the low end.

It was a Native produced by Camilus for Spyderco.Much lower quality. They sell for about 20.00.Do a search for BRK Native and you should be able to find the thread.

mwelch: sounds like a very good deal at least with the Native. Even if it's GIN-1 it should be a very good deal. I suspect it's a CPM 440V model.

Thanks for the replies and link. No this is CPM 440V and seems as well finished and as smooth as the other Spydies I've handeled. Too bad they only had one.
